An engineer and leadership coach by training and an entrepreneur at heart, Young operates at the intersection of innovation, leadership, and lifestyle. Through her professional work, Young trains corporate and collegiate audiences on topics such as professional development, leadership, and diversity and belonging—while also mentoring Black and Brown women in STEM through her coaching and community platform.

In 2026, Young achieved a historic milestone as a Proud Charter Member and Executive Committee Member of Alpha Delta Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, the sorority’s first chapter in Ghana, West Africa. Chartered on January 16, 2026, the new chapter represents a significant expansion of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s International Region and marks the organization’s continued commitment to service, sisterhood, and global community engagement.

According to the sorority’s official chartering announcement, more than two dozen women worked for two years to establish the chapter and implement service initiatives supporting communities across Ghana, including Accra, Kumasi, Aburi, and Koforidua. Their efforts include youth mentoring, educational enrichment, environmental programming, support for Black businesses, and mental health education
